  • FWP is partnering with Walking in the Footsteps of our Ancestors (Ahadada Wathigre Hįnéwi Ke) which is a joint project of the Center for Great Plains Studies and the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Oklahoma.

  • 127 years ago, in what is now Wilderness Park, near 1st and Calvert Street, was the first session of the Nebraska Epworth assembly, August 3rd through 10th, 1897.

  • Branson Park, named after land owner Charles M. Branson, existed roughly between 1883 and 1945 just southeast of South 1st Street and Pioneers Boulevard. It was the 70 acre wooded area straddling Salt Creek on the east side of Branson’s 250 acre farm known as “Riverside Farm” or “Riverside Stock Yard”.
